The large gables on the right hand block were replaced in 1815 by a parapet similar to that on the main block to the left. Shrewsbury School, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury (image)This is a 17th Century drawing of Shrewsbury School (now the Library) and its surroundings. The School was built in two main stages.
