What We Do

We help the Council to manage its own historic assets.
We provide advice on development plans, planning applications and Environmental Stewardship schemes

We manage the Historic Environment Record
We enhance and protect the Historic Environment through targeted projects.

Meet The Team

The Historic Environment service is based at the Shirehall in Shrewsbury. However, the Conservation Officers and the Archaeological Planning Advisors are split to cover three areas: North, Central and South.
