Welcome to the History section of the Discovering Shropshire's History website. Here you will find the homepage for Shropshire Archives.

From here you can also access the Tudor and Stuart Shrewsbury reconstruction map, which gives an extraordinarily detailed view of Shrewsbury circa 1630, as well as a host of additional information about the Tudor and Stuart periods. A similar map of Much Wenlock c1485 introduces the medieval town and its priory in a manner not attempted before.
