Crossbill Egg
The Crossbill nests high in coniferous trees, usually pines or larches, using soft materials such as wool, hair or moss to build its nest. They lay up to two clutches of eggs a year that contain four or five eggs. The eggs are usually pale cream with red-brown or black markings.
