A fashionable wedding in the 1920s. The bride was Hilda Bromfield the daughter of William Bromfield. William Bromfield inherited the Bromfield business at 60 Upper Bar (Painters, Decorators & plumbers) in 1905 from his father - Joseph Bromfield. For much of William's adult life he lived 'over the shop' at 60 Upper Bar until he moved to 7, Upper Bar ('Northolme')
The groom was West Brown.
Standing at the rear: 2nd from right Roland Bromfield; 3rd from right his wife Ena.
Sitting on the right Mary Louise Webb (nee Bromfield) (aka "Auntie Polly") sister of Joseph Bromfield. The man standing to the right is Revd. William Salt. To the right of the bride is William Bromfield and to the left of the left bridesmaid and standing is Sydney Bromfield. Sydney eventually took over the business, which ran until 1960s, when Sydney died.
