SC6 965/14 Cleobury Park, 1373-4
The account of Walter de Camera parker there, keeper of Houshull and the foreign wood of Wyre from the feast of St. Michael in the 47th year of the reign of King Edward the Third after the conquest until the morrow of St. Michael in the 48th year of the reign of the said King Edward for 1 whole year.

The same answers for 17s 3½d from the pannage of pigs in the park and Houshull this year; and for 10s 2d from the agistment of beasts in the park this year; and for 40s from trees felled by the wind sold this year by the council of the lady to Roger atte Pole and his colleague; and for 3s 8d from the bark of the said trees; and for £4 6s 8d from birches within the park sold by the said council; from underwood sold nothing this year; from honey or wax nothing this year; from attachments in Houshull nothing this year.

And in bread, ale and fish bought for the expenses of various workers for days for taking venison before Easter this year 6s 2d, to wit in bread 3s, ale 2s and fish 18d; in one man with 2 hired horses for -- -- [illegible] and leading, going and returning from Cleobury to Langley for 8 days 7s 4d, or a man by the day 2d and for 6 – [torn] by the day 4d.

Mares
And for 1 mare of the remainder; and for 2 mares received from Walter Wolrich bailiff of Stanton in the month of April, a male colt without tally.

Thus he accounts in murrain in the month of May two fillies, one which came from Stanton; and allowed to the bailiff of Bewdley in the month of June one mare, to wit coming from Stanton.

And 1 colt of the age of half a year of the remainder; and for one filly of the age of one year received from the wardrobe of the lady in the month of May, to wit from the issue of the white mare of the lady, and for one filly of the age of 3 years received from the said bailiff of Stanton in the month of April.

From hides of young beasts from the murrain above nothing because they were not skinned on account of putrefaction.

And for 8 wain loads of hay of the remainder; and for 4 wain loads of hay received from the reeve of the foreign of Cleobury from the issue of 3 messuages in Mawley; and for 3 from the purchase as within.

Whereof he accounts in expenses of one mare, one filly and the lady’s deer in winter 8 wain loads of hay.
And there remain 7 wain loads of hay.
SC 6/966/3 Cleobury Park accounts 1383-4
The account of John Horewode parker of Roger Mortimer and his associates, keepers etc. from the feast of St. Michael the Archangel in the 8th year of the reign of King Richard the Second after the conquest until the the same feast then next following, to wit in the 9th year of the reign of the said king for one whole year.

The same answers for 13s of arrears of the last account there in the preceding year.

Issues of the wood
And for 10s 10d from pannage of pigs in the park there beyond the tithe at the time of St. Martin. And for 10s from the pannage of pigs in the wood of [Houshill?] outside the park at the said time by W. Walshale. From the sale of wood in the said park nothing this year.

Payments of money
And paid to Roger Partrich of Dorstone, receiver of Wigmore by the hand of William Walshale from the pannage of pigs in Houshill in the preceding year 13s without tally
And to the said receiver by the hand of Richard the parker from the pannage of pigs this year 10s 10d without tally
Sum of the payments 23s 10d. And he owes 10s and 5s which he received from 10 hasps sold to a certain Fletche and 8s 4d which he received from 8 dozens and 4 bags of iron of the mine in the park there at the end of this audit not before charged. The sum of the debt added together 23s 4d. Of which he is exonerated of 10s of the pannage of pigs in Houshull whereof William Bailleson, baliff of Bewdley answers for in his account of this year by the hand of William Walshale under the heading of foreign receipt. And he owes 13s 4d.

Account of John Cleobury deputy of John Newport parker there for the time said within.

The same answers for 14s 9½d of the arrears of the last account there of the preceding year.

For the pannage of pigs there nothing this year because no mast. And for 40s received from wood there felled by the wind by the oversight of the receiver and Walshale, keeper of the chase of Wyre; and for 5s 6d received from the crop and bark of an oak felled for the repair of the pale this year; and for 6s 8d received from an oak felled by the wind in Househill sold by the said receiver and keeper of the wood to John Margretessorie; for honey and wax nothing this year; and for 2s from an oak falling to the lord felled by a storm of wind on Saturday in the second week of Lent sold by the parker to Thomas Bulker.

Agistment
And for 20s 10d received from the agistment of various beasts of the countryside in the park there in the summer time this year as was examined in detail at the audit.

And of 3/4 for increased rent of agistment within the said park formerly leased to Walter Blount as previously for the 11 preceding years beyond the ancient rent of 30/- previously paid. Of the pannage of pigs with the park from the time of St Martin this year nothing because it is within the sum of the swanmote below, nor of pannage of pigs in the wood of Houshill for the aforesaid time to St Martin this for the same reason, nor of sale of timber or wood with the woods of Nayling and Houshill this year as nothing was sold. But he receives 12d of increased rent of herbage of the park, newly leased per Geilales previously land of the lord King aforesaid to Walter Blount and John Ad’ms, gent for 21 years, paying 33/4 a year as appears by the above account and 12d beyond by increase, as appears by indenture made the 20th May, the 24th year of the lord King, this year being the first.

But he received 19/6 receipts of one swanmote held this year as appears by roll of courts

Of which is allowed 3/8 for the costs and expenses of the steward holding the aforementioned swanmote this year.. and the debt is 49/2, which sum was paid to William Ad’ms, deputy of the receiver general there by recognition of the same receiver at the account made in the presence of the auditor.
