Mount Pleasant Terrace was built in the 1830s by William Hazledine, a local developer and property owner.
They were built on the site of the Shropshire Hunt kennels (established in 1739), and stood in isolation about just over a mile from the centre of Shrewsbury, until the 1960s when, following the sale of Old Heath Farm, the surrounding area was built on.
The terrace consists of five separate houses. The 1881 census shows that 19 people were resident at the time. Occupations included poultry dealers, a brickmaker, railway guard and cashier.
