Harlescott Grange itself was an early 19th Century house but one built besides a medieval site. It was demolished in the 1970’s. Housing now surrounds the parts of the moat that are still visible.
No records of the medieval building are known other than that in 1417 there is a report that the body of one of those slain at the Battle of Shrewsbury had lain at Harlescott House.
