Shropshire Family History Society at Shropshire Archives
Volunteers from Shropshire Family History Society are now on-hand at Shropshire Archives to give you help with your family history research. They have a help-desk at Shropshire Archives on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings between 10.00am and 1.00pm.
The Shropshire Family History Society was winner of the Shropshire County Council Community Services Directorate OSCA (Outstanding Contribution Award) for members' work helping visitors to Shropshire Archives over the past year.

Try something new for 2008! In 2008, Shropshire Archives and Shropshire County Council's Cultural Services are organising events, walks, talks and activities. These celebrate Shropshire's history as well as the 50th anniversary of a legal record of rights of access to the Shropshire countryside and the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Shropshire Hills as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
