Great fun and serious educational outcomes are to be had in our sessions planned for 2009. Learn the truth about the houses built by the three little pigs – which one really would have been the strongest? Find out about the “Class of ‘81”, with a look at the children who went to school in Acton Scott at the time of the 1881 census.

Dress up in Victorian costumes to carry out tasks expected of children at the time such as pounding clothes in the dolly tub. Practice gas mask drill with evacuees arriving at wartime Acton Scott. Understand what sustainable development is all about with a session developed with Tanje village in The Gambia and learn from our Victorian predecessors about living in a sustainable way.
