For the last 30 years, skilled craftsmen and women have demonstrated traditional domestic activities, rural crafts and working trades to visitors. Our aim is now not just to demonstrate these skills but to pass them on, through a programme of workshops and short courses.
All the tutors employed to run the courses are experts in their field, some earning their living through the everyday practice of their craft, while others are resident interpreters and demonstrators on the farm.
Two new buildings, developed over the last 12 months, due to open in April 2009 provide excellent teaching facilities to support the courses. This work has been supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund and the European Regional Development Fund.
The attached course list details courses available from April to September 2009.
