Museum on the Move: The Olympics comes to Worcestershire

Worcestershire has a several sites that are being used as training camps for the London 2012 Games, these include:

Worcester Rugby Club (Archery)
University of Worcester (Olympic Sports = Basketball, Fencing, Table Tennis, Indoor Volleyball; Paralympic Sports = Boccia, Goalball, Table Tennis, Volleyball (sitting) and basketball)

The West Midlands has also received £2.24m from the Legacy Trust Fund to create 2 initiatives – a dance programme and a Community Olympian Games Toolkit.

Local Opportunities to volunteer – a flagship project for the Worcestershire & Herefordshire Olympic and Paralympic Project Group, which is currently being developed and if people wish to volunteer at the Games, they need to register
on the official London2012 site.
