What is “Days in the life…” all about?
There’s no one better to tell you about what life was like in 16th and early 17th Century Shrewsbury than the people who lived there. Based on actual documentary sources, provided by Bill Champion, author of "Everyday Life in Tudor Shrewsbury", you can hear the people of Shrewsbury speak to you about their lives. These were real people and the events described are based on historical records.
How do I use it?
• Simply click on the maps listed in the link to the left.
• You will be taken to an interactive map.
• Each map has three buttons. Click on a button for the time of day you want. A building will light up on the map.
• Click on the building and a page will come up where a Tudor person will tell you about his life.
• Later we shall add audio files so you can hear them speak too!
You can also find "in depth" biographies of each of the characters produced by Bill Champion, author of "Everyday Life in Tudor Shrewsbury", linked to the "Days in the Life" web pages.
