Craven Arms and District History Group
We are a newly formed group researching history in Craven Arms and surrounding area.

The history group was founded to give family history advice, enable property searches, explore archaeology and other related topics. The area covered by our group includes Craven Arms, Clungunford, Culmington, Diddlebury, Halford, Hopesay, Munslow, Onibury, Sibdon Carwood, Stokesay and Wistanstow.
How can we help you?
Resources at our disposal include census records (in book form), old parish records (on microfiche), catalogued folders relating to local history for you to browse as well as free internet access.
We have monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, at which there are usually guest speakers or guided walks.
Events
A drop-in session, dispensing help and advice is held every Friday 10.00am - 1.00pm at our Local History Centre in the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.
