Bibliography
There is no one book about Market Drayton's history which can be unreservedly recommended. The best research widely published is that by Norman Rowley, but unfortunately he did not generally give the sources for his statements. Apart from Landed Estates and the Gentry, none of the Drayton books are still in print but they can be borrowed from the County Library.
